I give my pet semi-therapeutic food on a daily basis. Is it ok for us to continue giving semi-therapeutic food? Also, our pet cannot eat up the amount of food suggested on the package. Should we try to make him eat that amount, by making him exercise more?

I sometimes find vomit on the sofa when I come home. Even when I’m at home, our dog hides away to throw up once in a while. Sometimes it's undigested food, and sometimes it's just transparent liquid, like gastric acid. Do you think it's because of the food? Or is there a possibility of some disease? I give my dog dry food, and take him to yearly checkups when I get him vaccinated.

Hi. I just found out that my puppy who's abt 4 months old, occassionally has the urge to vomit, just like something is stuck in his throat, but cant. Only a mixture of saliva and gastric juices is coming out that is approx 3-5cc. I tried doing Heimlich maneuver but nothing happened. He can walk short distances. He appears weak because he lost his appetite so I just prepared some water near him incase, to prevent dehydration. What else can I do for him before I will go to the vet? Thanks.

He doesn't particularly look like he's lacking energy - he's been vomiting pretty often ever since we adopted him at a year old. He's infected with FeLV, but we haven't seen any abnormalities after 8 years of treatment. He hasn't been losing weight either. I am concerned about the vomiting but our vet tells me there aren't any noticeable issues. I take him to the vet every 4 weeks for interferon treatment.

Hi. So my dog didnt really choked on something. He was positive for parvo virus. Early this morning I found bloodstreaked wet stools that smells fishy. I brought him right away to the vet's clinic. He is on IV Therapy now with some oral medications. Other tips or remedies that you can add? Also. He was febrile. Im not quite sure about that. He doesnt have a med for that. I only gave him water. Will that suffice? Thank you so much.

I woke up this morning to my dog having bloody diarrhea and vomiting yellowish sticky substance which I think is bile. He ate nothing colorful to affect the color of his stool, but we recently discovered that he's been gnawing on a wood furniture and has probably eaten some of it. His first stool still has a little shape but has the reddish color already. After that, it's all liquid and looks to be fresh bright red blood. He's been neutered on the 21st of the previous month and has gone through a complete recovery and is pretty mush his old self now until this morning of June 13. At the moment of posting this question, he still drinks a lot of water but he's obviously less energetic. I'm very worried but as of now, we don't have the money to visit a vet. (My dog is a mix. His mom is a Corgi and the dad we don't know what breed, but also a medium-sized dog)
