Cat / Norwegian Forest Cat - Answered 1441 days ago
I have a 9-month-old female Norwegian forest cat. I'm thinking of getting her neutered pretty soon, but our local vet told us they don't run any blood tests before the surgery. However, I did some research and found that most clinics actually do perform blood tests before surgery. Are blood tests necessary before surgery? What are they usually checking in those tests?

Anesthesia is one of the risks of surgery, so we want to ensure there are no potential complications. This panel checks organ functions, electrolyte levels, white blood cells and red blood cells. So blood test is required before any kind of surgery
