Cat / Maine Coon - Answered 1406 days ago
I have a male Maine Coon that's a little over 6 months old. In late March I was planning on getting him neutered since he had become half a year old, but at the health check, in early March we were told it was too early because his permanent teeth hadn't grown in yet. We had our older cat - a female Norwegian Forest Cat - neutered when she was 8 months and were told that it was a little late. I've heard that Maine Coons take longer to mature, so do you think it won't be too late even if we wait for the teeth to grow in?

Well, I think your veterinarian wants to be sure the male organs especially the testicles are fully formed. Some don't descend early enough
