I don't know if this is an injury, but I found black stripes in two of the claws of the front right leg after taking my pet to get his nails clipped about a month ago. He doesn't seem to be feeling any pain. What do you think this is? Is it just some pigment coming out?

There could be different reasons for a dog nail to turn black. One of them is the dog nail bed infections. Usually, claw infections caused by bacteria are responsible for making a dog nail black. However, a fungal infection could also be the cause behind nail discoloration.
