I've heard that you shouldn't give dogs cooked chicken bones, but I've read a book that says it's ok to give them raw drumsticks. What is the truth?

Hi, If you must give your dog a bone then it should always be raw. ' 'If they are cooked, smoked, fried or steamed, this makes the bone very brittle and likely to splinter,'Cooked bones are not recommended under any circumstance. It could cause can cause your dog to choke and can also puncture the gastrointestinal tract, or get caught in his throat. This is extremely painful to your dog and can potentially lead to death.
