My Labrado dog is itching the skin some times and then those places become red wound. It is cured after a treatment and then starts again after few months time. I am expecting a permanent solution for this.

Serious itching like this could owe to different causes, it'll be smart to know what the cause is exactly before you bump into the treatments. I suggest you conduct some tests first and then by the results, your vet would know how to go about the cure. Thanks

You could go to your vet so he know the exact cause of the itching.. He could then get you a better and a final treatment

Have you discovered the reasons for the itches? If you haven't, I think you should run some diagnosis. When that is known, the vet can then know what best treatment pathway he has to take. Goodluck

Hello, Successful treatment depends on identification of the underlying cause. Dogs whose cause of itching cannot be identified, or those in which treatment of the underlying disease does not eliminate the itching, will require medical management for pruritus. Your vet would have to find out what causes the itchings, so he'd then know how to go about the cure.

Okay, after treatment is given to initially cure your dog, I suggest you continue giving the medication for some time(about 1 week) to totally destroy the source of infection. You can also mix that with topical drugs, and gave your dog checked for irritation. Thank you.
