Cat / Norwegian Forest Cat - Answered 1326 days ago
My cat was diagnosed with struvite stones in her urine at a health check last year, and has been eating specialty food ever since. I want to give her treats like Churu once in a while - Is it OK to give her treats if they're made for urinary tract health?

#Reason for struvite *Bacteria in your urinary tract produce struvite when they break down the waste product urea into ammonia. For struvite to be produced, your urine needs to be alkaline. Having a urinary tract infection can make your urine alkaline. Struvite stones often form in female who are likely to have urinary tract infection. #Preventive & curable steps are providing vitamin c supplements naturally (medicine) along with ad libtum water . #Acetohydroxamic acid (AHA) blocks the buildup of ammonia that can cause struvite stones to grow. * Note: Size is not known to say about surgery, go for x-ray or USG.
